Our website address is: https://theservicecollective.org. The Service Collective (TSC) engages and empowers youth to take action in their community through volunteer service. We are a project of our fiscal sponsor, the Fund for the City of New York (IEN: 13-2612524).

We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when you interact with our site:
- Volunteer & Program Profiles: When you sign up for service projects, after-school clubs, or leadership programs, we collect your name, email address, phone number, school, neighborhood, age/grade level, and t-shirt size.
- Media & Likeness: As outlined in our Volunteer Waiver, TSC may use, share, and publish photographs, films, and videos of participants in accounts and promotions of our volunteer events in any type of media, including the internet.
- Comments & Technical Data: When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address, and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
- Cookies: We use cookies to improve your experience, such as remembering your login details or form preferences. These range in duration from one session to one year.
3. SMS Messaging & Mobile Privacy (10DLC Compliance)
The Service Collective is committed to protecting your mobile privacy. * Opt-In: By providing your phone number, you agree to receive promotional and marketing text messages from TSC. Consent is not a condition of any service.
- Use of Information: We use your phone number to send SMS messages regarding your inquiry and customer care related topics
- No Sharing of Mobile Data: Mobile phone information or opt-in data collected will not be shared, sold, or disclosed to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

We do not sell, rent, or lease our volunteer lists to third parties. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Partner Organizations: We may share volunteer names with trusted community partners (such as New Neighbors Partnerships) specifically to coordinate events you have registered for.
- Fiscal Sponsorship: Data may be shared with the Fund for the City of New York for administrative, legal, or insurance purposes related to your volunteer service.
- Embedded Content: Articles on this site may include embedded content (videos, images, etc.) from other websites. This content behaves as if you visited the other website directly and may collect data or use cookies according to their own policies.
5. Data Retention & Your Rights
- Retention: We retain volunteer and comment data indefinitely to maintain organizational records and recognize returning participants.
- Your Rights: If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold, excluding data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

2. Volunteer Participation & Waiver
All volunteer activities are governed by our Waiver and Release of Liability. By registering for an event via this website, you acknowledge that you (and any covered family members) have reviewed and agree to the terms of the waiver, including the release of liability and the media consent.
