Every Tuesday The Service Collective will partner with a local nonprofit to help support their mission. Projects will include: gardening at Cadman Plaza, supporting seniors with Heights and Hills, pre-dinner hosting for newly arrived asylum seekers, cleaning and stocking the Brooklyn Heights Community Fridge, street tree care and composting, and food pantry support among other projects.
This project will support animals in the NYC Animal Care Center’s shelter. We will learn about the shelter system for animals and “draw” attention to some potential pets by adding a painted portrait to their adoption profile. We will also craft much needed cat toys to be used in the center.
Suggested donation: $25 per participant. Donations directly fund programming and help keep our projects free and accessible to all Brooklyn Youth. Donate HERE.
Volunteers may also choose to sign up for 11 weeks of Community Club HERE.

Our partners at Heights and Hills will come by to teach us about what it’s like to be a senior citizen in the city. We will share stories (and maybe a treats!) and also craft birthday cards for homebound seniors that have upcoming birthdays.
